How many scholarship football players will Auburn have next season?

We will not be at the 85 scholarship limit.

He's been making fun of AU fans on twitter for believing that dribble, but take the path you must.

We will see I guess. I won't be surprised if two years go by and he has barely seen the field except on special teams.

That happens everywhere. Not ever kid makes th transition to college, just like first rounders to the NFL.

Chiz has inked 84 over the last 3 yrs now.

Because Tuberville left him with 73 or 74 scholarships to work with. He had to sign that many to make up for the lack of #'s.

Nope. I'm saying he would have never visited Auburn.

I see now, you are correct

I think he just came last weekend too

I like our coaches if they can sell the program in a weekend, but he will sign with Bama Thursday. I just don't see why you get on TV to announce you can't make up your mind

Actually, it was closer to 80 but Chiz kicked off about 6 from the team his first summer as the HC. I remember it well becuase a lot of Au fans were rejoicing, saying good job at cutting the dead weight. He made it his scholly number look worse by his own doings.

That should have said, after we signed a full class in 09 - Chizik's first class - we played with 73 or 74 in 09.

The only one I know that he actually kicked off the team was Aycock for failing either his first or second drug test. There was some attrition, which always happens with any new coach that comes in.

We were able to count back 5 last year and take 27 apart from that, 2 of which didn't make it in - Coleman for obvious reasons and Jeremy Richardson, which was the only guy that didn't make his grades. That was a far cry from Tuberville's classes.

We had 82 this year, plus 3 sr walkons they gave scholarships to. I think we'll have pretty close to 85 this year.

He is an insider that pays for a membership on BOL, so I'll give you 1 guess...

AND BTW, to anyone who questioned LaMichael Fanning's commitment:

I like how Coach Saban talked about Haha's committment today. Because he committed so early, the staff worried about suitors. But every time Caoch would call and ask him "how are you doing?", he would just say he's ready to get to Alabama.
