Hopefully he can relax with it not being do or die for us. If good Beede shows up (along with a consistent strike zone), we have a great chance to finish it off.

Sorry for the reply to an early, early poster, but I must now since it has died down,

This specifically:

Congrats to Rebels/Bears/Sharks and Commodores. Now you need to bring it on home!

:

And congrats to the Tigers/Plainsmem/War Eagles on your tremendous success in baseball as well!

I still like UVA... they can hit. Last night was a gift.

That 3rd inning was an epic fail. I've never felt more sick watching baseball in my life. I feel so bad for Kirby because I know 'it' happens and it's a hard thing to overcome when things start snowballing.

I feel optimistic about today given our offensive production. This game hinges on Beede's ability to pitch and whether we can continue that production. I'm assuming we won't have another utter breakdown like we did yesterday. That was very very uncharacteristic of Kirby. The pitching staff otherwise was very solid.

This x1000. If Beede shows up and he is given the strike zone like last night had, it will be a long day for the HOO nation. If not then UVA will roll. You will know which Beede you get after the first few batters

Wondering if James Franklin will show up again? Would be interesting to see the 2 teams with the best pitching staffs end up setting the record for runs scored in a championship series. Go Dores & let's hear those SEC SEC SEC chants when you win it all.

The question is whether he can hit that strike zone or whether he will pitch like Kirby's 3rd, which looked very familiar (if a bit more pronounced) to those of us who have watched Beede's last couple of starts...

Screw Vandy. That was a total gift last night. I want the SEC to beat the other team not be given a gift like that debacle in the 3rd inning.

No it wasn't. It takes team discipline to stand there batter after batter and watch ball after ball go by.

Looking forward to seeing the SEC win another baseball NC tonight!

2 feet off the plate? LMFAO
15 hits to 6. Just admit it was a gift.

Looks promising so far, but reserving judgment. Expecting a long bumpy night, so I've stirred up a pitcher of martinis (beefeater & lillet). Apologies in advance...
