Listening to Westwood One on the NCAA Baseball site. The said it was high and away. Looked like a ball to them.

That 3-0 strike is almost automatic, it is always funny how a pitcher can miss very badly with the first three pitches but some how usually manage to pipe one 3-0.

To those questioning that strike call with 3-0 count...
I've said it all day, from inning one, this ump has had a HUGE strike zone. Slightly high, slightly low (surprised ball 3 was a ball, put it that way), slightly inside and outside. That pitch itself has been a strike more often than not.
