Stupid play by Slaughter to go anywhere near him. It's an ever worse taste because FSU did the same shite to us earlier in the CWS and it was ignored as a "good slide".
But I put it on the 1B coach for not explaining the situation to a young player on the biggest stage. He should have been told before every damn pitch that a double play is fine, don't give them a reason to call anything.
