There are two kinds of Atheists:
1. The “Tragic Atheist”: He has come to the conclusion that there is no God but isn’t enthused about it. He accepts it and it becomes just another part of who he is, he is not defined by it. He is not bothered by the religions of others or public religiousity, he simply doesn’t choose to partake. He’s an adult.
2. The “Edgy Atheist”: He thinks he’s smarter than those who are religious and feels the need to antagonize, offend, and annoy Theists....wait just kidding, not all Theists, just Christians for some reason. He enjoys being shocking or rude and will seek to stir up trouble when ever given the opportunity. He’s a teenager.
CNB and his compartriots are in category two.

And it’s all over something fake. For something that’s fake, you sure are getting triggered mightily bud. Have you done your daily sky screaming routine?

There's nothing wrong with celebrating His birth. There's also nothing wrong with choosing not to.
There's nothing wrong with celebrating a "pagan holiday" as long as you're not trying to worship pagan gods. There's also nothing wrong with avoiding it because it was once pagan.
Ya'll need some of Paul's letter to the church in Rome up in here.

Well, OK, but ESV?
Come on, man.
I mean, “person”.
ETA: Just yanking your chain.

I did, but it was totally worth it. I want him to know how he’s seen.

Okay. I am more concerned about the translators.

Yep, I remember when I heard about that. I couldn’t believe it. But yep.

I’m more of a “whatever translation you can quote out of context to make an obscure point” kind of guy.
Like when I razz my vegetarian SIL with Romans 14:2 in NET because it uses just the right phrasing:
quote:
“One person believes in eating everything, but the weak person eats only vegetables.”
Never mind that she also has a PhD in Biblical stuff and can outrun me all day long. That one verse gives me ammo.

Fruit of the poisonous tree bro, it’s well known that reading the KJV causes people to turn gay.
