Fwiw the crowd played a part. Going up 14 hand is settled in for a blowout. Fans never got really into it until couple drives 4th qtr were it absolutely impacted AU. Then we fumbled and roughed passer and lost the crowd again.

Also, overall levels of drinking are way down.

Frats are doing wellness retreats and pregaming by listening to huberman podcasts and applying magnesium to each others perineum.

Games gone brother

Disagree, the bad snap for Auburn late in the game, the crowd caused that. The line were looking around in confusion and couldn't hear anything, then bad snap. Pivotal moment

It was pretty lackadaisical until the end when they got into it. I've said many times the 2024 auburn game was the shittiest and lamest crowd I've ever seen for a big/rivalry game. Idk if it's that our fans have bama syndrome where we're just so spoiled now or we don't collectively take auburn seriously, who knows.

I'll take this opportunity to also mention my number one biggest pet peeve on earth when it comes to fans at home, which is selling their tickets to opposing fans. I guess I get it if you just put them on StubHub and some random opponent buys them since you can't really control that aspect. But based on what I saw around me yesterday I don't think that was the case, it felt more like fans were just giving their tickets away to friends of theirs that happened to be Auburn fans which is complete bullshite. I sit in pretty good seats and there were four Auburn fans directly in front of me, and right across the aisle were two more Auburn fans. Early in the game they were polite and quiet but as the game went on they got drunker and rowdier and by the end they were living it up having the time of their life. Absolutely pisses me off to no end. I am on the fence about reporting their seat numbers to the AD

My Auburn student grandson was there with his Georgia alum mom and dad. I sent him a congratulations text after the game.

A shame that a double legacy had to go to Auburn because they let a guy or gal from Mumbai go to UGA.

I said the crowd woke up for a couple drives in 4th.. that was about it for disruptive levels of noise.

There were games in recent years where the entire game was that loud.

I said in other threads but the people now management the “game day experience” are not helping. They kill crowd involvement with stupid games and video adverts.

Nobody likes that stuff and the cheerleader yelling at the crowd. They need to focus on keeping crowd involved in the game. Up until last year they did a good job of this.

Until yesterday, Auburn was thought of as a Vandy level opponent. Perhaps that will change now

I thought the crowd was about as jacked up as an afternoon crowd at Sanford Stadium could be in the fourth quarter.

The first half was sort of pitiful. But the crowd regrouped at halftime and came out strong in the second half, I thought.

IMO you shouldn’t have to use the crowd to manufacture juice

Win with or without the crowd

Have to? NO. BUT they is why homefield matters. You could see the difference in the defense when the crowd got into it. They are young humans and emotions matter.

Also..we have won entire games bc of the crowd. Remember like 7 false starts my TN. AU had a delay of game and false start during the 3 series the crowd came to life.

It absolutely makes a difference.

Crowd didn’t move the needle until fourth. Third was flat also compared to past impactful crowds.
