I'd think Texas - A&M would be included in that list of century-old rivalries, and thus the conference would've chosen not to expand, correct? Surely the SEC will protect that game too.

Sorry that I cann't pull up a 4-5 mth old quote from The Morning Advocate, but he did specifically address this issue, i.e. it was totally separate from his previous quotes bout the Fla game. I cann't address any questions about anything else he did or did not say or sign off on, but he was quoted in the paper in this context. As for not upsetting the rivalry games "for the good of the conference", I 'm not sure how bama playing UT every yr is "good for the conference". No one on the East or West Coast or in BIG country gives a shite bout it. It was on tv this past season for one reason & one reason only: bama's run for the NC. UT had nothing to do with it. Not really into conspiracies but it does look bad & with bama's talent & history, why is it even necessary if it was one?
