I would honestly be thrilled if State has a chance to win in the 4th quarter. I think this is a very good A&M team and they are catching State at a good time.

I suspect A&M probably covers, but maybe I’m underestimating Lebby. His team is very resilient. I just don’t know how they function in this game with the OL in such a bind from an injury standpoint.

Outside of 2023 state has played pretty well at Kyle Field

A&M is 4-2 at Kyle vs Miss State since joining the SEC.

13 - A&M 51-41
15 - A&M 30-17
17 - MSU 35-14
19 - A&M 49-30
21 - MSU 26-22
23 - A&M 51-10

Also, here's a random fact that has nothing to do with anything but I still found interesting. Kevin Sumlin went 2-1 vs MSU at Kyle. However, Sumlin also went just 8-14 at home against SEC opponents thus those two wins against MSU represent 25% of his SEC home wins. Just for reference, Jimbo went 14-6 at Kyle vs the SEC and Elko is currently 3-1.

This has back door cover written all over it. A&M up 3 touchdowns late and we score final drive to cover the hook.

Forgot that last year’s game was kinda close for a while, actually the closest State played any SEC team. State had the ball down 7 with a chance to tie early 4th quarter, then had to punt and then A&M kicked a FG to push the lead to 10 where it stayed. Was only a 4 point game at half, too.

To be fair that was a Weigman game before they made the move to Reed… but both teams appear to be improved from last year. Could see something similar to last year playing out.
