I always enjoyed how, after the refs threw the bs flag in 2004 and gave auburn a second kick and they made the second attempt... then the next season, the awburn kicker John Vaughn missed FIVE field goals. Rumor was, he tried to kill himself the next day, but when he went to kick the chair out from underneath, he missed. Again.
Loved when we beat awburn in awburn as their campus burned.
Love that they jumped on the Tiger eye and Saban kicked it onsides and we recovered. Really enjoyed beating aqburn in 2001, the 9/11 makeup game, and earn our way into Atlanta to then upset the vuls and win an SEC title.
I remember when it used to be the home team won in that matchup, but then Jarrett Lee won in 2008 ending that. Jarrett Lee. Beat. Auburn. Thrice.
Who is your coach, and the one before that? and the one before that?

The only thing in this boards illustrious history that could ever top the "As the Plains Burn" thread would be kicking the corndogs out of the SEC. That my friends would be epic!

Charles Bediako is the former professional player who briefly rejoined the Alabama Crimson Tide men's basketball team.
?After playing for Alabama from 2021 to 2023, Bediako went undrafted in the 2023 NBA Draft and signed a two-way contract with the San Antonio Spurs, playing in the NBA G League for the Austin Spurs, Grand Rapids Gold, and Motor City Cruise.
?In January 2026, Bediako filed a lawsuit against the NCAA to regain college eligibility and was granted a temporary restraining order (TRO), allowing him to rejoin Alabama's active roster. However, the TRO expired in February 2026, and he was denied a motion to finish the NCAA season, leading him to resume his professional career.

It won’t just be LSU. It’ll be the players and the companies those players are being payed by for their NIL.
Nike has more deals with LSU players than any other school in America and LSU has more NIL investments than any other school.
Every company that the SEC takes money from will come for them and make them pay, and that’s before the state of Louisiana and LSU come for them. Not to mention the money they’ll lose from ESPN and tMouse for losing a top brand.

Woodside has operated offshore Louisiana for more than 16 years and in the last few years, has significantly expanded its presence in the state.
In 2025, Woodside announced a US$17.5 billion final investment decision on its Louisiana LNG project – one of the largest foreign investments in Louisiana’s history. This long-term presence and investment now extends to Louisiana’s flagship university.
You think a company like that won’t come after the SEC after paying LSU to have their patch on their uniform?

I guess they just must like Alabama more. Think of the oppression LSU could be getting away from.
And if you join the Sun Belt, the conference HQ is already in New Orleans.
Your billboards will help the local economy.
