Given the choice I would take Junior PP over TM any day of the week.

Easy to say since TM7 hasn't even had a junior season yet.

I don't recall PP7 ever putting an inept offense on his back to galvanize the team in a crucial game of the magnitude TM7 did in the Arkansas and Georgia games last season.

Both great players but I think PP was a NFL caliber corner in Purple and Gold.

Way to go frick stick, this thread has nothing to do with PP7's or TM7's NFL careers.

This is about their performances at LSU.

PP was a NFL player athletically in a NCAA uniform.

Also, lay off the ad hominems, it makes you sound silly.

Furthermore, that's similar to saying Fred Tayor is Florida's best player ever because Tebow isn't a NFL style quarterback.

You are quite the interesting theorist.

I don't agree with your assertion.

I didn't come here to slap backs, Richard.

I came to talk sports. You and others are making it personal. Please stop, I'm a nice guy, really.

So much talent and LSU fans pick the more overrated guy in a great secondary. Eric Reid IMO is easily the best secondary player y'all have. He is the main reason y'all beat Bama in the first game and the only reason it was t uglier in the second and yet he gets not nearly enough respect from his own fan base. Not to mention he is a good humble kid. I would take him over nearly anyone in your secondary if we could swap secondary players.

No one is disrespecting Reid. Personally, I own an Eric Reid #1 jersey. I love him back there roaming the middle of the field. The reason TM7 gets more love is because of his ability to turn the tide of a game. He had 6 forced fumbles, 5 fumbles recovered, 2 INTs, 2 Defensive TDs and 2 punt returns for TDs. Turnovers and kickoff/punt returns can completely swing the momentum of any game. If not for his timely playmaking abilities, who knows how some of our games would have turned out.

You TM7 lovers are just too much. The guy wasn't even your best DB last year.

On a related note, I watched the BCSNC game last night chuckled as Bama picked on him all game.

ST might make him the more valuable player I agree. I am just thinking secondary skills. The only thing that hurts TM7 is something he can't overcome and that is size. Big receivers just go up higher than him. Can't do that to Reid as he has proved time and time again.
