This thread got so derailed. I’m not even sure anyone realizes Rees was being mentioned as a replacement NEXT YEAR. Northwestern named an interim head coach they’re moving forward with.
The DC I believe got the job for now. These idiots just heard the name ALABAMA mentioned again. What a bunch of maroons.

Maryland isn't an "excellent head coaching position."
I’d wager it is for a guy from Maryland. Or the fact that one season as an OC at Alabama washed away a 2-26 career record and being fired for physically assaulting one of his assistants.

We both just spent three pages arguing semantics. If anything you’re bent out of shape as well.
Meh, semantics or not, I simply said the original statement wasn't true.
And it isn't.

I thought those came when Alabama hired him?

It may be tough to turn down the money but why walk into a terrible situation that's gonna always cause some form of distraction when you can sit back and hone your skills under a premier HC with loads of top level talent to work with. You can make more in the long run just by being patient.

You're just trying to argue for no reason dude. You called it fan fiction and when proof was provided you try to move the goal posts. What are you trying to accomplish?

SMH, some of you guys need to go out and get laid instead of dedicating your time to typing dumb shite.

That’s certainly possible but not guaranteed. Devil’s advocate…he coaches at Alabama, doesn’t perform and has no HC offer. I don’t think O’Brien planned on going back to the Patriots when he took the OC job, and I don’t think Golding wanted to end up in the same position at Ole Miss. It’s an unpredictable profession. There are G5 coaches who wait for the premier job that never comes and they miss their windows all the time. I don’t think there’s any fool proof path to take. A lot of it is always going to be a gamble.

The only goalpost moving has been done by Alabama fans.
The statement still isn't true and never was.
Posted on 7/11/23 at 8:22 pm to SidewalkTiger
It has been proven true and numerous posters posted examples of it but you insist on arguing for no reason. I have no idea what you're trying to prove or gain from it but you do you my man. There's better things you can talk about though just saying.

Well actually no.
They just moved the goalposts and claimed semantics.
The statement itself is still 100% false.

The same could be said of Alabama posters who did their best to make the statement true, even though it wasnt.

To apparently post as many comments as possible without ever admitting being wrong about anything. I've seen a lot of multi page threads consist mostly of arguments between this dude and someone else. That has to be why this Sidewalk guy has more than 5 times the amount of posts I do, aside from joining only a year prior to me.

Guy with a username like yours, I wouldn't put much stock into what you say.

I hope he stays, guy is hot garbage. Bama is going to be so bad on offense this year.
