Could 4 loss SEC team get in playoff?

So stick with me here. There are currently numerous scenarios where this could happen. But let’s pick one likely one for example.
UGA wins out and goes to Championship game 11-1
4-6 remaining teams could all be tied for 2nd with 3 SEC losses. As I said multiple realistic scenarios where this could happen.
The team who wins tiebreaker and goes to championship game loses to GA. They now have 4 losses.
Do they get in the Playoff?
Or do they get punished for having to play an extra game and get left out while other 3 loss teams who finished behind them in regular season get selected?

No. A three loss team cannot

Punished
And 6 teams aren’t getting in with 5 having 3 losses.

This has nothing to do with Bama or who I pull for. But if you immediately say no or no chance then you are not being honest. Look at the schedules. It’s very possible a 3 loss team goes to the championship.
If your position is they get punished for having 4 losses that’s fine. I don’t agree with you. But it’s my opinion. The runner up in SEC does not get left out. Even with 4 losses.

Yes. Texas will do it unless Sark someway wins 9 games.

Highly unlikely but maybe if they decide they dont want to punish a team for playing a title game the rest of the conference didnt have to. It would take utter chaos.
I do think this year a 3 loss gets in, I would put it at 85%

They've already established that a loss in the CG doesn't hurt a team going for the playoffs.
If the team in question would get in already before playing the championship game, then they're in; if they wouldn't make before the game, then they're out.
The conceit is that a CG win can help, but a loss won't hurt (getting into the playoffs - you still lost, so there's that)

LSU won the SEC title with 3 losses in '01
Sorry Tennessee

I agree with you. But I know many will disagree with us. But there is no way you leave them out. I guess this would be the year to leave them out since the game likely goes away next year if they go to 24 teams. But I think they are in.

If the Big 10, Big 12, and ACC... plus some of the G100 (how many small conferences are there now?) just utterly self destruct than maybe. But not likely.
People are going to just go bonkers and start flinging poop while screaming how bad Arkansas is this year... but we had a lot of teams scattered across the major conferences who just aren't as good as people thought they were.
I'm not saying they are terrible mind you. You've got some solid squads who will put up an 8-4 record this year. But there has been a lot more hype than there has been results so far.
To be fair. I've seen a better argument to contract the playoffs than to expand it.

Well we all know it’s only getting expanded for one reason. MONEY
Not a change there are more than 12 teams that could win. In most cases I would say there are not more than 5-6.
But it’s a self fulfilling prophecy. You create a playoff where you have to win 4 or 5 games and you open a door for a teams to have a chance because of injuries where they had zero shot in a 2 team or 4 team championship model.

My goodness, not no but hell no.....

It requires everyone else to lose a bunch, kind of like LSU in 2007. Normally a 2 loss team has no chance to make that game, but everyone else fricked up just as badly and opened the door.
And for that reason I also doubt it because other conferences have too many easy team to throw that many losses on their teams.
3 loss regular season team is what you are really talking about here, since they would need to be in the top12 before the SECCG.
Unlikely, but possible.

So you think they get left out and other 3 loss SEC teams get in over them?
