That’s how you know this is BS. If it was purely ranking “the best” they would have put Georgia ahead of FSU for the same reason they put Alabama ahead of them. This was horse trading and it’s honestly pretty contemptible.

This post is dumb and illogical for a few reasons. For one, committee’s guidelines clearly state conference championships matter. Not a prerequisite, but weighted heavily.

Where’s Early Cuyler looking to congratulate committee giving Bama invite to championship series. Haven’t seen him on.

The same Bama that shows up for the Iron Bowl shows up to play FSU and Bama’s getting trounced even with FSU’s 3rd string QB.

What if the same FSU team that sqeaked out a 2 point win against a BC team that was equally bad or worse than Auburn shows up? A 6-6 Auburn team that btw would have won 8 or 9 games playing the same schedule FSU did this season.

FSU beat #14 Louisville that way. Bama need a last second prayer to beat unranked Auburn by 3 points with their starting QB.

Yes, FSU beat #14 Louisville by 10 on a neutral field despite managing to score just 16 points

Do you know who else beat #14 Louisville? An unranked Kentucky team that went into Louisville's home stadium and managed to put up 38 points on them. The same Kentucky team that Alabama beat by 28. Louisville, FSU's 2nd best win, goes 8-4 at best playing Auburn's schedule

You want to know what's funny?
No one on the college football playoff committee would dare sue for libel and slander.

They'd hate to have to deal with discovery. And for good reason.

They wouldn’t have had to play New Mexico State in that case, so maybe?
