What kind of a strange world do you live in? Corbin had nothing to do with it. It’s just a fantasy you guys have created to justify your reaction. He didn’t make some secret phone call to get NC State’s players tested. Vandy’s players were all tested. It sucks for NC State’s players that it turned out like it did, but don’t invent weird shady scenarios that didn’t happen. What purpose does that serve? You just want to hate Vandy and thats your right, but why make crap up?

Vandy fans can play this any way they want, but the facts are that they got 2 free passes..playing a team with only 13 players??...to the NCG series, enjoying an extra day off, saving one of its aces, while State had to burn theirs, will follow them around for a long time. Next yr's road trips will be brutal, well deserved. And FWIW, Vandy has not said one word re N.S.State's situation; they have only defended their butts.

Man, it sucks for NC State. Nobody has said anything different. Vandy fans and players would rather it be settled on the field. It’s a crappy situation all around. It’s taken a potential national championship away from NC State and has taken attention away from a hell of a season by an inexperienced Vanderbilt team. But this weird crap about Corbin orchestrating the testing with secret phone calls to the NCAA and that Vandy didn’t have to be tested is bull crap. By the way, eff MS State and their trash fans. I thought Tennessee fans were bad but State fans take the cake.

I think the NCAA could have worked out something to get NCSU to play except for one thing. The NCSU coach presser last Monday where he let it slip that a bunch of guys including a coach I think were sick well before they played us. If NCSU had been upfront about this and managed the outbreak at that time, it would have worked out fine for them. when I heard his presser I was shocked and I bet the NCAA was too. They should have told NCAA at that time there was a problem. that would have given them days to make sure the majority of the team was fine. They did send the sick kid home. I have seen several NCSU fans zero in on this as well; one calling for an investigation into how the coach and the AD managed this. The coverup will get you every time. thank goodness we beat them or we'd have been kicked out too for no fault of ours.
Aside from that, I do wish the finals were always held a week after the initial CWS brackets so we could see both teams at their best. I do feel terrible for their players and fans, but Vandy wasn't involved, didn't set this up, and didn't rat on NCSU to get tested.
It will be a tough finals. MSU is on fire right now and our bats are cold, plus since we won the series against MSU back in April, not sure we can do it again.

Not sure how there was any coverup. They didn't think JT Jarrett had covid last Monday when he had cold symptoms because he was vaccinated and was not getting tested. NC State's dr had him tested for covid on Tuesday even though he wasn't required to because of continued symptoms. Also, according to the d1 baseball article, the 2 unvaccinated players who had symptoms were taken to the Marriott for a test by the dr because of symptoms. They had not shown as positive until then.

I've seen it mentioned in this thread a few times...has any other evidence come out that Vandy was tested other than the ESPN guy saying they were cleared after Saturdays testing?
