I believe the only one of those open outside the stadium is the team store. And it is guarded on game days.

We talking some pimply faced teenager, some 30 something rent a cop, or real cops?

Real cops. Highway patrol. They play the Highway Patrol a small fortune for game security and crowd control. The team store has some volunteers, and some real, gun-toting LEOs.

Dang, I was hoping to slip in unnoticed with some Hog gear stowed and bust it out when the cameras are on. Create a scene that gets the Mizzou - Arkansas rivalry off to a good start.

You might pull it off. I doubt it, but you might.

And are you an Arky fan? For some reason, I was thinking you were LSU.

Not that any of you actually give a crap, but the hill was completed today.

Looks much better.

Do most Mizzou fans expect seating to eventually replace some parts of the hill? Or will it likely stay the same size?

Yes and yes, assuming we don't shite the bed forever. If we are "competitive" (meaning we don't embarrass ourselves like last year), I think eventually you will see seats go in around the "M". Assuming things continue in a positive direction, eventually, the "M" will be replaced with seats as well. It will probably be the last thing to change though, due to a strong contingent that likes the tradition of it.

I think semo or someone had a pretty good idea of incorporating the rock "M" just outside of the stadium. That way it is still part of the stadium experience but not taking up space that could be used for seating.

I think it would be a great feature as part of a fountain outside the stadium. Keep the tradition, but don't take up the space.

Here are some older photos of Faurot.

Where the stadium has come from. (actually found some of these photos on an old rant thread that bing led me to.)

1925

Stadium pictures as it grew.

South endzone was added in 78

New scoreboard added for 2009

New field installed before our first season in the SEC!

Now we have the new hill!

Coming soon (2014) new east stands and suites!

Next up for renovation - The south endzone.

I'm guessing more premium seating based on that second to last rendering.

You're correct, it will add more premium seating. However, to the sides of it, it will add another 4-5,000 stadium seats. This addition will make the south end zone elevation the same height as the side stands.

Seems like a decent Texas high school stadium.

Hopefully, Faurot returns to where it once was. I think in 1980, it was the 7th or 9th largest college stadium. It is sad it has fallen so far.

SEC fan but I am not above a little mischief to promote rivalry and help attendance numbers. I did spend part of my life in Arkansas but did not stay at a Holiday Inn Express there. If you make it to Baton Rouge and wander into Louie's you might find me at the countertop tho.
