Both teams got run on like that. Two really good Olines with NFL RBs is a tough draw for any defense.

After halftime, Rodney Anderson had 3 runs for more than 5 yards... one team was able to adjust... the other was not.

Advanced statistics don't always tell the truth either.

I tend to agree. But when you see a lot of missed tackles, it is a tip off. Missed tackles are becoming common place among all college football teams, though. All the kids are trying to get ESPN Highlight hits and they have quit wrapping up.

People can rehash the game all they want, but everybody should realize that:
1. Oklahoma's offense was legit. They moved the ball at will, particularly in the first half, and at times in the second half.

2. Georgia came out flat footed in the first half, but made excellent adjustments in the second half on defense. It did not appear as if Oklahoma made a lot of adjustments at halftime, but an Oklahoma fan would notice adjustments more easily than I would.

3. Baker Mayfield is an excellent QB. he is very accurate and can make a team pay with his feet. And, I might add.....he can catch.

4. oKlahoma's defense did well at times, but gave up huge plays at times and did not line up correctly across the DLine on occasion.

5. Chubb/Michel is a formidable tandem. They can be stopped. (See;Auburn/UGA 1) But they won't be stopped often, and when necessary, Fromm can loosen up a defense.

It was a great game. Win/Lose/Draw, the game was a spectacle to watch, and both teams put on a show.

Yeah but advanced statistics also said that Georgia was going to shut down OU and Mayfield with the mind-numbing stout defensive play.

True. But our defense held the Sooners to 7 second half points. I would bet no other team in the country has done that. 10 if you want to count OT.

Several of us were clamoring that the biggest key was going to be to stop the run. OU being one dimensional is a myth. They've had great running games since Riley got there as OC.

I have to admit, that I was one that thought Oklahoma was one dimensional until Charlotte Sooner pointed out to me that they actually come closer to 50/50.

Mayfield showed he wasn’t as accurate..consistently, on deeper balls. If he doesn’t let the pressure and his happy feet bother him, that wheel route at the end of the game was open and could have been 6 points.

Wrong. It was 31-17 at halftime. The final score was 54-48. UGA gave up 17 in the second half. Much better than the first half. It’s all water under the bridge now. Go win this thing for the rest of America. Screw Bama.

Look at the second video clip on this page showing the audible. Look at that piss poor alignment. A HS QB could've audibled into a play against that shitshow.

I was shocked when they came up to the LOS. Oklahoma was either lined up on the football or to the left of our LOS with the exception of one DE. My eyes got big and I began to breathe faster and harder. I was dumfounded at the DLine not adjusting, and shifting over. The LBs, everybody but one DE and S and CB were lined up to the left of our center. (Left facing the UGA LOS)

Wrong. It was 31-17 at halftime.

They got the scoop and run TD against our offense. That would have made it 38 and then their 7 points their offense put up made it 45. They got the other 3 in OT.

Our defense only gave up 7 point sin the 3rd and 4th quarters. That makes it mind boggling.

We'll try, but as I have said....nobody plays better in a big game than Alabama. They have a ton of players that have played in the Championship game, and this is all new for us.

I am hoping they are not as hungry, and they take us lightly, but Saban usually does a great job of keeping his teams motivated. that is no easy task.
No matter how the game turns out, it has been a great year for us. I just hope we can win the Title and put the 1980 talk to bed.

OKs offense only scored one TD in regulation in the second half.

They only scored 3 points in two tries from the 25 in over time... we figured them out....
