You got the win. Credit where credit is due and all that. But I've never seen a team dominate a game but collapse so epicly on special teams in the fourth the way clemson did. Forget the blown coverages... They looked like tenn with the game on the line and Sweeney looked pretty damn silly at the end of both quarters. Fun to watch though Kinda hated to see Watson's performance wasted. Dabo is definitely the second most loved coach in alabama today.
He done alabama proud, but in the end- and most importantly- he did not win the game!

The onside kick was absolutely perfect. We needed it, it made perfect sense and yet no one saw it coming. Consider that the knock against Saban was "he's not a good in game coach" and "he can't stop the hurry up spread." Well in the fourth quarter of his 4th NC at Bama when we couldn't stop the spread, he made a brilliant decision when we had been on the ropes all game and got yet another NC through his cunning and gutsiness when it looked like the odds were against us. The legend grows.

They set that up all day and clemson coaches didn't even notice the crazy splits. Still got it done tho. And OJ was always an animal- just had too many drops and missed assignments for them to ever have complete confidence in him. But if he's left wide open...

Thanks, but

Did we watch the same game? While they had 70 more yards of offense than us, we had better time of posession, and they also had a turnover, while we didnt. We were also in the lead for most of the game.

You intercepted the ball "once". The kick return and onside kick was the only two plays that helped Bama. Y'all basically had a horrible night defensively against Clemson. You scored the first touchdown but didn't take the lead till the fourth quarter. What game was you watching?

Dominate?

Hmmm...not sure about that one. What I saw was a damn good football game with great performance by both teams.

And the last two TDs Clemson got were basically gimmes by the Bama defense. They thought Clemson would quit. Especially the last TD, Bama basically surrendered that.
And the total yards doesn't include Drakes 95 yard dagger of a kick return.

Clemson had 13 more first downs, but when you have 95 yard KR for a TD, a 50 yard TD run, 2 50 yard plus passing TDs, and another 63 yard pass play to get inside the 15, it's impossible to have a bunch of first downs.

And, offensively, Clemson is a one man team.

Clemson had the better offense, but Alabama had the best team. Bama's special teams, made up of superior athletes, were a major fact in the win.

Yeah, I'm not even saying that Alabama had the "better" game, but to say that Clemson "dominated" most of the game is just asinine. If you take away their last scoring drive when we were up 2 scores with a minute to go, the total offense yardage is almost exactly equal.
