I'm starting to believe that no matter what comes out your not going to believe you did anything wrong. They could have video tape of Chizik handing Cecil Newton money and you would find some excuse as to why it didnt happen.

They would still be saying that Cam didn't know about it and that Auburn shouldn't be punished in any way.

There could be videotape of Cam getting the $ and then Cam could go on 60 Minutes and admit to taking the $ and most Auburn fans still wouldn't believe it.

I doubt it. Auburn might lose out on a recruit or 2 because of possible trouble ahead, but not because he pissed off some lady in a meeting.

I don't know if he pissed her off but she kinda made him look like her bitch.

Yea, she definitely made him wish he wouldn't have pushed so far. I just don't think kids are going to make a decision based on that.

One way or another I just wish they would hurry the hell up so we would all know what's going to happen. Get it over with already.

That goes both ways, if they all came out and said that nobody was paid shite and had hard core proof of it, you guys still wouldn't believe he went to Auburn for free.

That is the perception and that is all that trully matters. Chizik, regardless of his intent, made a mistake and we as Auburn fans are going to have to deal with that mistake.

Bush league on Mean Gene's part. He should handle himself with more tact as a national title winning coach.

Unfortunately, I agree. Not a great decision on his part.

This already happened with the Eric Ramsey case. Auburn coaches caught on tape talking about P4P and finding that Ramsey (among other players) received $9,000+ impermissible benefit along with $100 per INT and $500 per TD along with other similar cash payments AND steaks. Auburn fans like to say that the Ramsey Case was "only about an assistant coach providing steaks to a starving player".

He is a National Title winning coach, but he is also human. I am sure he regretted it after and knew he shouldn't have pushed that far but damn, it's mot like he is the first coach to slip up and say or do something that that.

Maybe little Nicky should have Chizik over for Thanksgiving for a lesson on how to handle women.

Hell 60 minutes has Pat Dye on tape arranging for a football player to get a "loan" and they name the fricking field after him.

2002 we absolutely cheated. 1995 is a little different because it was a player signing with an agent beyond our control.

I'm not sure how 2002 can be denied. 1995 and 2009 are other issues. Both had their elements of bullshite.

Exactly and althought we are getting some unwanted bad press this to shall pass. It's not like this is going to make the NCAA look harder at Cams recruitment.
