What pattern? There is no pattern.. a stolen laptop and speeding tickets do not create a pattern that leads one to conclude Cam was paid for anything.
He has a pattern of being in trouble.
Dez Bryant has a pattern of being a douche.
You're right it has nothing to do with him being paid though.
Is the argument Cam got paid because he's a moron and in trouble a lot (due to prefrontal cortex issues or whatever)?
Cam being in trouble a lot of getting paid are independent events.

No.. I don't think that he's evil. I do think he has an issue like a lot of athletes have. It's an ego built by coaches and family.
Couldn't have said it better myself.

quote:He had such a pattern at FL. There is no evidence that it ever went beyond that. That is why "prior bad acts" evidence is usually inadmissible in our judicial system. Under our system of justice, we don't convict people simply because they did other bad things in their past, we demand proof that they did the bad thing they are accused of.
He has a pattern of being in trouble.
Before the illiterate respond, let me say: I know this isn't a issue in the judicial system, I was discussing the larger logic behind why our judicial system works that way.

the fact that it was illegal to release his academic information has absolutely no bearing whatsoever on how what was in that information reflects on HIM.
There was never an official release of his student records. The story used a source claiming that as a reason he left Florida. They provided zero proof any academic issues occurred. UF as well as 2 others on the academic counsel(don't know the exact name of the organization) have disputed the claims in that article. However you have chosen to ignore that fact because it doesn't jive with your view of Cam..

Serious question. No flame. Wouldnt Chizik's contract negotiation be right around the time or after this deal in Destin?

No, I have chosen to ignore that fact because federal law requires that response from UF. It had nothing to do with whether it was true or not.

I have no idea, but I would think those negotiations take a while. I have no idea if they had started before all of this or not.

Yeah that is what I was thinking. I had saw in on another board and just thought that it was an interesting thought.

Was it ever proven that he did cheat and was about to get kicked out of FL? I seriously don't know if it was (hence why I'm asking

Just a thought about him, Cam, not having any problems since he left Florida. Once he arrived at Blinn and then showed up at Auburn, could it be a system of covering up and turning ones eye from behavior that he "may" have displayed once he arrived at these other two college campuses. An example would be that you had a huge crime rate that involved a lot of arrest pertaining to smoking weed. Well if you pass an ordinance or law legalizing that particular act, the next years headline would be crime rate drastically cut from previous years. Maybe what didn't fly at Florida was overlooked at Auburn. I'll also say this, maybe he learned to keep his nose clean finally. But more than likely it’s the former, good handlers.

So how do you prove a negative? Theyer gets to throw that out there knowing full well UF can't confirm or deny it, and you accept it as fact? I might also add that Theyer could not confirm it because of the same federal law.

There were over 30 arrests at UF under UM tenure. What exactly didn't fly down there?

Don't know, but he sure did seem to be good at it, so he must have had some practice somewhere.

He was allowed to break traffic rules. He rode a scooter or moped around campus. He did not have a D.L.
