IMO this will make Arkie more one dimensional. I was thinking 10-2 for them but losing that ground game pop while breaking in a new signal caller is a tough pill to swallow. Might be looking at 8-4 now.

If you LSU fans can hype Ware to be all SEC just off of the Cotton Bowl, Dennis Johnson can be hyped just as much, since he is a more proven back in this league.

So it's not career ending correct?

He has broken an ankle before. It's at least gonna make some NFL teams think twice about drafting him. I really hate it for the kid. He's a good kid that has worked hard to get where he is at.

I knew he had previous ankle issues, but as long as he can heal up I would think there are some teams out there that would give him a look. Hate it for him, but he'll be back with a vengeance.

Want to bet on who has more yards rushing this year? Winner gets control of the loser's sig from the end of the regular season until after the BCSCG.

Damn. Hate to hear about injuries like this. Hope he has a speedy recovery.

I think you'll see Wingo and Johnson, obviously, get the majority of the carries. But I think the big freshman, Kody Walker, is going to have to be a contributor now.

I assume you see my point since you got so defensive.

Arkansas has a lot of experience at the RB position, even with Knile now gone for the year. For you to say that we will go 8-4 without him is laughable.

We still have our defense, we still have our stable of WRs, we still have Bobby Petrino drawing up plays.

Nothing will change. Nothing changed last year when we lost our starting RB in game 2 of the year.

Not defensive at all. I'm putting my money where my mouth is.

He's a game changer. For one you don't beat LSU last year without him. I see Arkansas struggling a bit more now with this loss. You can try to minimize it all you want but it's a huge blow.

Yeah that stout Arky defense

Petrino drawing up plays on the sidelines didn't mean a whole lot in 2008 or 2009.

So you're saying knile wasn't good enough to make an impact? Hell arky fans have been sucking the black off his cock since last year. So some no name is just as good as knile now? And him being out won't impact your season?

Tough loss Arkansas fans... Hate it for him that it was this severe.

I hope he can recover and get back to top form..

So are you saying Knile wasn't as good as y'all have been making him out to be? He was a game changer and definitely good enough to be the difference in at least a couple of games. I hope he has a speedy recovery.

Hmm..

Season ending injury to our starting RB last season = Another RB rushing for 1,000+ yards

Deja Vu?

Then put it on us going 8-4 hotshot

He is a good back, yes. It is not the end of this team. Houston Nutt is no longer coach here. We have depth. We will manage.

Of course you see us struggling. Hell, you saw us struggling with Knile Davis. Your opinion has never changed. You just see an opportunity to pile on right now.

5th in the SEC a year ago. Returns nearly everyone. Experience all over the field. One of the best Dlines in the conference. Yea, that stout Arky defense.

We did not have the depth we have now on those teams. Our defense was young an inexperienced. Our special teams sucked.

Anything else you want to flame about today?

No, some people are acting like this will make us go from a BCS Contender to 6-6 season or something, we'll miss him for sure, but we have depth and we'll manage.

No, he is a damn good back.

Trent Richardson did not get a name for himself until Mark Ingram went down.

Knile Davis did not get a name for himself until Dennis Johnson went down.

shite happens, players step up. Dennis Johnson will step up. He was our starter last year.

Between South Carolina, aTm, Alabama, LSU, Tennessee and Mississippi State you will lose at least 3 and as many as 5.

9-3 at best 7-5 at worst. I'll put my money on that.

Right because Petrino has recruited like Nick Saban

That's not true at all. If you actually read my posts you would know that.

I know you want to live in your hog fantasy land where Arkansas is some kind of talent hot bed all the sudden. That's fine, you'll be brought back to reality soon enough.

Not flaming. This is my objective analysis and it's not just me who thinks that.

You were not a BCS contender before.

You were 10-2 and going to the Cotton Bowl at best and probably 9-3 at worst.

Now you're 9-3 at best and 7-5 at worst.

That's what happens when you lose your best weapon.

I think there is overreaction on both sides. I don't think it's the end of the world, but anytime you lose a RB who has Knile's ability, it's a huge blow. DJ is a bowling ball with legs, but he doesn't have Knile's breakaway speed. Wingo has the speed and great hands, but shies away from contact.

That being said, unless these guys step up, I don't see us making a BCS bowl, but 9 wins is still likely IMO.
