FWIW a third degree ankle sprain is worse than fracturing the ankle in most cases. So a negative x ray isn't necessarily a great thing.

A guy in my high school had a third degree ankle sprain. He was in a cast for several months. The doctor told him that he would have been better off breaking the ankle.

Same thing happened to me in high school. I wasn't the same until about 4 months after the injury

I have lost count of the times I have sprained my ankle. A month and a half is the worst though. I just hope Knile's career isn't in jeopardy.

Wishing Knile a speedy recovery. Can't say we won't miss him - but the Hogs will still have a pretty decent running game, Wingo had a better Spring than Knile by most accounts, Dennis Johnson ain't chopped liver. Besides, according to a lot of posters, the only reason Knile got all those yards was because of safeties etc having to play deep because we can throw. Guess what?

Yeah Dennis or Wingo might step up and become a legit feature back, but we are going to miss Knile on the field.
