What's also interesting to note is the level of competition in the top 10 teams.
MASSEY CFB RANKINGS
The SOS for the SEC teams compared to the BIG10 and N.D. is extremely lopsided. The SEC is playoff ready from the season, and it will show in the playoffs.

I’m quite the opposite. When people start making changes to sports it starts to decline. It’s destroyed because people keep making changes and I have always been against messing with amateur college athletics. It isn’t amateur anymore.

Computers sort information according to how the programmer wants it sorted.
As far as running up the score: does winning 55-0 make it any better than 55-54?

Every single SEC team is underrated by the AP, compared to what the more accurate & objective computer models say. The conference is being punished for being the best conference, when the opposite should be happening.
I don't think they are necessarily wrong this year, but with conferences mostly just playing themselves there are a ton of potential issues with those models. It can get to the point where it assumes the SEC is good because we are beating each other and it had us ranked highly in the first place. I don't think we need to replace people because of this, I just think we need to get better people in there.

Hince my issue with the previous system omitting (at least) 1 conference each year.

Yes, especially depending on the opponent.

That doesn't look right, GoGators1995... Can you please specify which 5 computer models you averaged (and provide links)... For example, none of the computer models I've seen have Army or Wazzu anywhere near the Top 25.

Specifically, which 5 computer models did you average?...
The ones the BCS used that are still active in 2024. Same as BCS Know How on Twitter.

Get rid of pre-season rankings? How would they legally go about preventing the dozens of privately owned media outlets and magazines , etc. that publish them? Do you think that the CFP Committee can just say “stop it” and that is the law?
