That's a 50-percent exaggeration of your endowment.
Yeah?
UTIMCO currently reports (10/31/13) that the PUF is 15,408,000,000. 1/3 of that is what? 5,136,000,000. (Realizing that the constitution divides the PUF 1/3 | 2/3 to the systems and the systems are left to their own devices to split that among the authorized schools).
A&M's own private endowment as of 6/30/13 is $1,505,000,000.
5,136,000,000 + 1,505,000,000 = 6,641,000,000. While not the $7.639 billion on there, its only a billion off ;)

bullshite. You don't know shat about the PUF, obviously.
There's the PUF and then there's each school's endowment.
As for the PUF, how much each system school gets varies, except for one thing -- "excellence funds":
quote:
In fiscal 2013, $447.2 million will go to the University of Texas System, of which the University of Texas will get $199.3 million for “excellence funding,” or about 9 percent of UT Austin’s budget.
The Texas A&M University System is to receive $223.7 million, of which Texas A&M University is allocated $91 million in “excellence” funds.

Now go suckle on a sheep tit, aggie.

You don't know shite about the PUF, either. I will no longer waste my time on this subject.

I'm quite interested, can you point out the flaws in the math?

Always sucks when you seek out a forum that has nothing to do with your team for some fun and you end up getting all red faced.

The PUF allocations (the interest, not the principal) go to construction only, generally. Some schools have bigger construction needs than others, hence, UT Dallas might get more PUF construction money than UT Austin in a given year.
The only near-constant is the excellence funding, from which funds I've pointed out above that UT more than doubles A&M.

Could you imagine if this was an OU board? I wonder how worked up he'd get over his real rival

I'm missing how that changes a single part of my post, but thanks!

Because that $5 billion in your calculations does not belong solely to A&M-College Station, it can go to any system school, depending on needs.
The excellence funding portion is only for UT Austin, A&M-College Station, and Prairie View A&M.
UT Austin gets more than twice as much excellence funding than A&M-College Station. That is not "about the same."

Sumlin can maintain a main home anywhere.
Honestly though, I wish Sumlin would stay at A&M. Frick the PAC 12 and especially frick SoCal.

Too bad our research allotment embarrasses yours and our alumni donations more than doubles yours. But yea, enjoy your tiny fraction of the PUF.

So you realize it doesn't count solely for A&M-College Station, but then in your calculation, you applied it solely to A&M-College Station.
Brilliant.
Brilliant.
