They are giving Oregon an easy road in the playoff. fsu should have to play the ducks.

Yeah the seedings seem way more to do with geography than anything at this point.

Although it's perfect for Bama, I think FSU is the weakest team up there so they're a good first round opponent.

First thing I thought when I saw the rankings - they're setting up geographical matchups. I personally would have FSU at #1, I mean they're unbeaten. I'd like to play FSU though.

4 is great for us, we get to beat Bama, don't have to travel to Cali and keep the SEC out of the championship game for the first time in many years..

It has been no secret that each year the committee will select the teams and seed them to create national interest. It will not always be about the best teams.

Whoever wins the Sugar Bowl, with have a hard time preparing for Oregon in just 10 days. TCUs Offense is more like Oregon's than FSU'S.

Ummm, the eye test says Tcu is better than Fsu. Stop bitching. Bama/Fsu fans are getting what they have wanted for two years now.

I'm not sure I believe that. I think the coaching staffs will have to do a ton of prep ahead of time, but I think 10 days is more than enough time for the players.

Actually, as I said before, if the rankings end up like that, it makes Bama's road harder. Most teams would rather have a month to prepare for Oregon/TCU than FSU. FSU is pretty straightforward. Oregon/TCU aren't nearly as simple.

And for the obnoxious FSU fan here, I'm not saying y'all are easy, just that your system would be easier for a team to prepare for than Oregon or TCU.

LOL, ok.

Florida had your shite bird QB talking to himself like a bipolar lunatic, and your arse was on the ropes, at home.

Alabama will spank your trash arse prison gang like a little kid that just talked back. Wont even be close. Bama wins by an easy 3td

TCU is better than Baylor.

"OMG but Baylor beat them!"

The better team doesn't win 100% of the time.

If it were close Baylor would get the nod, however I don't think it's close.

This is the part that message board trolling ignores. People who understand how football, or, indeed, sports in general work understand that the best team can always lose. As much as people troll Missouri, if they're honest -- and not complete imbeciles -- they will acknowledge that Missouri is light-years better than Indiana. Sometimes things just go to hell at the exact wrong time, and the best team loses. They even lose to terrible teams.

Huh??? This is LSU tard logic

Baylor beat TCU straight up. If they beat KState Saturday they should be ranked ahead.

There's nothing "tard" about taking the body of evidence over a single game, though. We can argue whether Baylor's overall record or performances are better than TCU's, but if people didn't realize one game doesn't make or break a season, Bama wouldn't have been favored over LSU in the BCSNCG. They were because Bama had impressed slightly more with their overall performance over the course of the season despite losing to LSU earlier.

Yeah, nobody said that.

The committee is stupid. I've been saying it since they came up with the idea. Should have kept the BCS rankings and just taken the top four instead of the top two.

That's what you're implying when two teams with the same record in the same conference are so closely ranked, but team A is ranked ahead of team B who they lost to.

This is not about who should/would be favored in a rematch or against the other top teams. It should be about giving a team what they earned on the field of play.
