Carolina_Girl: How can I help you?
Are you safe?
Do you need me to make any calls from this end?
I know communication can be a nightmare when lines become flooded.

I'm outside of the actual city now, EKG but thanks so much for thinking to offer help! Curfew was set earlier but I had some stuff I had to take care of with the travel nursing agency I work with so I was there when crap started going bad and a little after curfew was set. Scared the hell out of me when the Emergency Broadcast Alert went off on my phone to announce the curfew and for ppl to go home and stay home. This isn't the South Carolina I know and love.

From that link:

quote:

"Our best estimate right now that I heard is about 20%, is what we think are Minnesotans, and about 80% are outside," Walz said at a press conference Saturday. His estimate was echoed by mayors for both cities.

Original comment I replied to claimed 86% of those arrested were from in state?

Maybe it is that high?

All I know is I was watching live Minnesota local pressers (via Hulu/YouTubeTV) this afternoon, and multiple city and state personnel said they didn’t have exact numbers; but the numbers of Minnesotans involved in the rioting was far greater than what was originally reported.

Who knows?
At this point, I’d believe your info as readily as what I saw reported.
My bet: they’re still figurin’ it all out.

That turned out to be a blatant lie. Local media actually checked. 86% of them were locals. When caught his defense was ‘well that is what I was told.’

He just made it up.

I know for sure they ransacked the Apple store in downtown Chucktown. Cleaned that sucker out.

Apparently it ramped up real fast. Went from peaceful to chaos pretty quick.

There's also a group of over 200 ppl gathering at the Krispy Kreme on Woodruff in Greenville about to roll out on them. Scanner said they had all available units en route.
