I used to have some respect for Colorado but man they have slurped on Deion's dick like nothing I've ever seen and for not a single win that counted for anything.

The same Colt McCoy who has a 13 year career in the NFL?

quote:In Gene Chizik's last year on The Plains, Auburn won 3 games. He get's fired, and Malzahn is brought in. Gus, in his first year, won the SEC and takes a 3 win team all the way to the Natty game. There was not a single player on that team that any Auburn fan would consider retiring his number. Colorado is a laughing stock with this BS. To get your number retired, a player has to be such a phenom that it would take generations to see another one like him. Shanduer Sanders?
I mean both these players resurrected a pretty dead Colorado program and were the face of the new Deion era swagger and push for excellence. I think not only statistically but symbolically these two players were historic for the program. I mean Colorado is a fairly big brand nowadays with a significant chunk of out of state fans. Hunter AND Sanders greatly contributed to that success. So yeah, I don’t see a problem with retiring their numbers. Maybe a QB comes along soon that’s better than sanders, but it will be because Sanders helped pave the way and taking Colorado back to relevancy.

Sanders may be retired before he gets drafted.
