I don’t know about anyone else, but when I was in college the last thing I wanted to was go work on a farm
When I went to college I was only there to not work in a factory like my old man did. To make better money to get better snatch than my old man did. No disrespect to dear old mom.
Living on the Great Plains seems like a shortcut. There is good money to be made, working that land. Hence, no college required.
If you look out your window, every day, and see that view ? Why in the Hell would you go to the weight room and practice field ? Go show cattle. Go ride a horse. Go do something that doesn't involve an old, fat, obnoxious bastard screaming at you "Again, but harder".
I did that shite, for the military, because I had to. If I would have grown up on a farm in the Great Plains ? No thank you.

Is hiring a black coach considered being woke or am I missing something here?
Only for university presidents who think it wins them some woke points. I couldn't care less what color if they win...but in no reality was Mel Tucker worth $9.5 million a year based on his resume.
Kansas found their football HC from Buffalo. I know the tam really hasn't played a good team with a pulse. Lance Leipold is going to get offers from top football programs that aren't very good right now.

So then Tucker would have been bad at Colorado in year two so he didn’t screw them over by leaving after a year. Or he could have improved them in year two in which they should have paid the man.
Tucker is in year 4 as a head coach. His first season at Colorado was no better than his predecessor's last two. Barring an amazing 2022 turnaround, his first three Michigan State seasons are going to be worse than his predecessor's last three.
He's not going to make anyone better. The fact that Colorado made a bad hire after he left doesn't negate the fact that him leaving Colorado got them out of a bad situation earlier and cheaper than if he'd have stayed.

Harsin had them boys ready to play yesterday...or were we just looking ahead?
Maybe y’all just are not that good. Year 1 of a complete rebuild with rented players.

I have already sent Harsin's resume. Cross your fingers and pray!

A good friend of mine’s son is a freshman offensive lineman for Colorado…my friend and in his family moved from Hattiesburg, MS. to Boulder, CO. to watch their son play and be near him and now the FIRST year, halfway through the season, his coach gets fired. Lot of moving parts to all this shite…

They'll be wanting rid of him in a couple years. But, in that particular news cycle, he was hot. Yes - because he was black. So Michigan State paid him. And they'll pay him to leave. That's how it works now.
Get this. No major college football program, today, would hire a young Nick Saban. Wouldn't hire a young Dabo either.

Now is it going to be about moving back to MS to play for Ole Miss?
