This is the contradictory nature of ATPBer's. You use it saying he is "our boy" trying to make it look like he is our prized citizen, then you say you realize we want him gone. The reason you hear auburn fans coming out to argue is because of this idiotic logic. We want him gone, so you have no moral superiority over us so move on to something thought provoking.

I think everyone understands the reality of this situation. Bobby Lowder has been the most influential figure at Auburn for what 30 years. He did rule things with an iron first. He is a complete control freak that wouldn't even allow employees to have voice mail. It is possible that this investigation could lead to NCAA sanctions? Sure. Is it possible it won't? Sure. With NCAA you never know until it happens. It might take five years. People at NCAA don't even know if Auburn will get in trouble or not. I always say just beat a team on the field; then there is nothing to say. No excuses.

Never heard this before. So, you're saying that Colonial Bank employees weren't allowed to receive voice mail? I would think that would be a customer relations nightmare.

Who the hell knows what will happen. However, this could be the first domino to fall. There is certainly more to come as the bribery charges are pursued and the FBI tapes are finally handed over to the NCAA. If these tapes are as incriminating as is believed, I feel bad for Auburn.

"Thank you for calling Colonial Bank. Unfortunately, we are either on another line or away from our desk at the moment. If you need to leave a voice mail, press 1 and go frick yourself".

The tapes are icriminating that is why there is an investigation. The only thing is it isn't Auburn the feds are ivestigating so no need to feel bad.

I can only assume that the Feds got all the evidence on the Cam P4P when they raided the Colonial offices 3 months before AU was even recruiting him.

Bobby Lowder is a crook - he is not a stupid man. He wouldn't have evidence on the premises - he's too smart for that.

True, but since AU had not started recruiting Cam yet, he may not have thought to hide his future payments to Cecil from the Feds.

mother of god its started again.

i pity you ATPB's, i really do. when all is said or done - what will you do then? I can think of so many other things you can do with your investigative prowess's - find a Chupacabra, investigate Roswell, find the Loch Ness Monster, Discover Atlantis, find Biggie's and Tupac's killer, solve the Kennedy asssination - you have the power.

How long has that hand sign been going around Auburn? I had never seen it until you signed up on here, but I saw a bunch of young kids out in Arizona doing it.

I first saw it popping up toward the beginning of this season. Not sure if it has been around longer or not.

You guys are really fricking idiots and are going to be severely disappointed. Your ignorance is really obvious. The Colonial Bank investigation is all about representations CB made about their financial health to receive TARP funds. This was primarily based on an agreed upon investment by TBW. Unfortunately, TBW misrepresented their financial health (I am actually pretty familiar with the company and their operations, circa 2007) and could not deliver. This led directly to CB having to declare bankruptcy and the subsequent investigation into whether CB should have ever applied and been eligible for TARP funds and whether they misled shareholders when they basically said the TBW investment was a done deal.

I do believe at least a portion of the investigation revolves around exactly how much CB knew of TBW's unfortunate misrepresentation of their financial health. Collusion if you will. The two companies certainly had a cozy relationship for a number of years, and Lowder is a smart man. He doesn't seem the type to be taken for a fool.
