Actually this is a good rule if you understand the reason...like the infield fly rule. For bad rules go with the defense having to catch a missed base or runner leaving early. That is just stupid.

His right foot touched white damn near every step. Is that out of the lane?

No there has to be a throw involved

You don't have to hit it hard. You just have to hit it where they ain't

Graham wasn’t gonna catch that even with a great jump.

The rule doesn’t mean every base runner has to run inside the line or be called out.
It has to do with protection from interference. If you interfere with the play and are inside the lane you are not called out, if you interfere with the play and are outside the lane you are out. The only exception is leaving the lane to touch the base.

Hats off to Elliott. He pitched a hell of a game. Dude had us completely off balance.

The runner could try just following on that line that's under his feet instead of drifting inside to try and get in the way of the throw
Then move the bag to the baserunning side so he can have 100% of the bag instead of one corner of it.

All runners sprinting to first base use the same line. Why that one time it is interference? Does not the runner have a right to get to first base?

That’s what a double bag does
