Peterson doesn’t understand the rule.
You can exit the runners lane to touch first. But he exited the lane early meaning he is no longer protected.

So what we’re saying is, that almost every single runner ends up “inside the base line” at some point when they touch first base.
Should be calling every runner out if that’s how the rule is going to be alllied.
