I don’t know. If you check those out of state hs games on Friday nights/Saturdays on tv, some locations don’t even have a band in the stands.
*or they have a choreographed dance group performance.
I know that there are some smaller private schools that don't have marching bands. The standard in Tennessee is both bands play at halftime.

Everything about the college game is too long.
I love the sport but games are pushing to be 3.5-4hrs...too long.
That's mostly commercials and stupidly slow replay calls. Commercial brakes find any excuse to disrupt the game. The NFL has it more under control so the games flow better.

Ain’t nobody’s attention span nowadays got time for a 20 minute plus break.
Disagree. I take the 20 minutes at halftime to get a shower in and can typically make it back for the kickoff.

Isn't that the norm in every state for HS Football?
Not in SC. My grandsons had a game Monday (Postponed from Friday). The home band never left the stands and the visitors couldn’t bring their band.

There is SO much filler in college football telecasts. If you eliminated all the blah blah blah in games, it would cut running time down by an hour, at least.

Is that the norm for SC, or just for that particular school hosting?
