So, in your mind, that makes Auburn an elite program. UGA has ownership papers of Auburn football this century, and has been much more relevant. That NC trophy, bought and paid for by Milt McGregor and Bobby Lowder, doesn’t impress anyone outside of Auburn, Alabama. It has so much tarnish on it all the Tarn-X in the world won’t remove it.

PS, just thought I’d check out ‘22 recruiting rankings to see where SEC teams are. Got tendinitis in my thumb before I scrolled to Auburn. 3 recruits? Gustav has 6 and is ranked 18 places higher.

It's fricking stupidity to put Boise in a tier above Florida.

Where in the hell do y'all find these dumbass sites?

If it were so easy, you dumb fricks should’ve been able to buy one yourself in the last 4 fricking decades.

Of course you’re the dumb arse who started this thread with the same topic half a page down.

Boise St doesn't belong in tier 2.

LSU doesn't belong in tier 2...they should be in tier 3 or lower.

The rest look alright.

I'm ok if Alabama is above everyone else but Clemson definitely deserves separation from all the others in Tier 2

I hate to agree but they have multiple playoff appearances and titles. An even playoff record with Bama too. Tier 1 of current programs, aka playoff era is Bama and Clemson, Tier 2 tOSU and LSU because they have won playoff games and a title each. Then we proceed to tier 3 which would include teams like OU who make the playoffs and then get their asses kicked.

3 by one team-. Something wrong there

The problem's with who won them. They have less overall wins than the others except 2, been to less bowl games, etc. LSU's just doesn't have the class of the others. They need to be lower.

It is not about perceived class. It is about winning tradition. Something a UGA fan would not understand.

Maybe try flipping UGA schedule with LSU? See how that would work? I'm sure UGA fans wouldn't like that. :)

How many teams in tiers one and two would be as successful if they played in the SEC?

1980, Boise, and Oregon are not in the same tier as LSU.

Get out of here with that clear, cogent argument. This is tSECRant

I think if you look at the landscape a bit, Clemson may be on their way down slightly. They have given up 100 points in their last two playoff games, ironically to LSU and OSU whom you have a tier below them.

I think if you asked 100 people which program you think has more success over the next decade between OSU and Clemson, a solid majority would say OSU. Now we all know things change at a drop of a hat, but I have no problem with there being 3-5 teams in both Tier 1 and Tier 2. There are realistically 6-8 programs who probably feel they can win a national title going into a season.
