But yet Trotter or Moseley picking their nose on the bench in the SEC is better?

Cam played an entire season and playoffs in juco. It wasn't like it was the first live snap action he'd taken since high school, which is basically the case for Trotter or Moseley.

playing vs sec defense in practice is about the same as playing a game vs juco talent IMO

I agree it is a rebuilding year. I think we win 6 if the year goes bad and make a crappy bowl game. We could reasonably win anywhere from 6-9 games before the bowl game. I think 7 or 8 regular season wins is most likely. If I had to make a prediction I would say we finish 8-5.

we're talking about a 9-4 gator bowl team. Not vandy.

I'm scared of Wilson. He's had 4 years in that system.. He's got all those athletes out wide.. He has Knile Davis.. That is scary. He tore us a new one in JHS, which, who didn't.. But he did it in half the time.

I think 'ole 601 is vastly underestimating the importance of home field advantage. Had last year's game been at JHS, it would have been a blow out, especially late in the season when we were on fire.. Noone, I mean NOONE, could stop our offense. Bama came closest, and we still scored 28 points.

You make the case for msu here. The point is the game wasn't played late in the season last year, nor will it be played late in the season this year.

This will be the 2nd game of the year for AU. I hope you don't think we are going to get all the kinks worked out in one game against utah state.

This year's game is also a 11:30 kickoff SEC network game so the crowd won't be quite as loud and rowdy as a 7PM or 2:30 kickoff.

If any AU fan doesn't think we are going to have our hands full early with msu and clemson they are suffering from bcs title hangoveritis.

There is way too much talent on this team not to get better and better as the season goes along, but there are way too many new parts not to expect bumps early.

miss st will be close at half, then we will win by atleast 10.

clemson will find a way to lose, just like always.

It's just about pointless for these espn talking heads or anyone else for that matter to try to predict anything more than the first 3-4 games of the season.

I have no clue how anyone can make a prediction on Auburn this year as we are such an unknown entity. There are so many new faces that will be in the 2-deep, many of which have little experience or will be contributing as true freshman.

Seriously, how the hell can you predict the AU-UGA game at this point?

All I can point to is AU's first 5 games and realize that utah st and fla. atlantic are guaranteed wins and much needed scrimmages, and that msu, clemson, & s.car are going to be out payback and all 3 returning significant starting experience.
