I don't think saying Auburn will struggle to make a bowl is a stupid statement. They are going to have to win 3 out of:

State
Clemson
SC
Ark
FL
Ole Miss
LSU
Georgia
Alabama

and they will only be favored in probably two of those games. And that's just to get to six wins.

Didn't Spurrier set the goal of scoring the most on UGA in Athens and then proceed to reach that goal?

returning experience is meaningless if the talent sucks

We return 8 starters from the defense that held Auburn to 17 points last year.

We have talented players on our team who fit our scheme and what coach Mullen wants to do.

I cannot think of one player on UGA's offense that will fear opponents, save Murray.

And that's fine, you don't have to. But we do have talent on offense in addition to our defense being much better than last year. And obviously the best QB in the conference. I have no doubt we will be a better team than last year, and Auburn will be a good bit worse.

Exactly. I'm saying they don't have any proven guys that scare anyone on offense.

I agree 100%. I was just pointing out Brown..

Cam had experience. Give me a break.

Do we have a talent advantage over MSU? Absolutely.

Hopefully that will be enough to overcome the plethora of mistakes we are sure to commit in the 2nd game of the year.

It's just plain foolish to overlook any SEC team, and whether or not you like msu is a well coached squad with Mullen running things.

I think 'ole 601 is vastly underestimating the importance of home field advantage. Had last year's game been at JHS, it would have been a blow out, especially late in the season when we were on fire.. Noone, I mean NOONE, could stop our offense. Bama came closest, and we still scored 28 points.
