Would anyone here know or care about Tammy if she hadn't called in Finebaum's show on the reg?

Honest question.

No, dude.

And I wouldn't know my mom if she didn't frick my dad and have me.

There are differing levels of sadness and it's certainly sad that Tammy and her grandchild just got crushed by a car and died from it.

What are you missing here?

HONEST QUESTION..

What are you missing here?

Lost a family member in a freak accident some years back after celebrating he got a scholarship to yale. Off the road upside down in a creek and drowned still wearing his seat belt.

Nobody here knew him, but that didn't mean the heartbreak in my family was not real. It's was the worse news we could have heard .

The point is, do I need to know Tammy or anyone else who died with their grandaughter in the car to not realize how sad that is?

You're asking if people would know or care about her if she was someone completely different? That completely misses the point -- she did call Finebaum's show on the reg, and that's why people know her and are sad that she was killed in an accident. It doesn't matter if anyone would care were she an anonymous person because the reason they do care is because they know who she is.

I think most people feel bad when they read stories like this and those involved are anonymous but when it's someone you know by face, voice, or even type/print, it's different. That connection brings it closer to home in a way that anonymity doesn't.

It doesn't mean people only care about who they know, just that it makes it harder for us to shake when we have some sort of connection the person or people involved.

Some folks mistake that for only caring about these events when it happens to famous or somewhat famous people.

And to take it a step further..

Most of us have seen her enough and know enough about the wreck that we can create the scenario of what she looked like as she and her grandchild were getting destroyed by a truck.

I know that's morbid, but it's the truth.

And it makes the whole situation more real.

And that is exactly what I am trying to get across.

As best you can, recognize this dynamic. As best you can!

This thread is full of scum.

It doesn’t matter who it was, a car accident that takes a life is a horrible thing. And I’m sure her family would care even if she didn’t call into some damn show.
