Fitz is legit. Our replacement when he left for Penn State was not.

Not happy to see him at UT

I thought he was really good. He had our players in really good shape and developing better than any previous S&C coach we had up to that point. We really declined significantly after he left in that department. I'm happy with the S&C coach we have now, but I really liked Fitz as well. He was a buddle of energy and always fired up. I think it was a really good hire for you guys.

Fitz is a friend ... I posted about him in the other thread before I saw this one.

He's one of the best S&C coaches in the country ... he might be your best hire yet. The players will work for him and, on the college level, Fitz will have more face time with your players than anyone else on your staff and he knows how to motivate. Runs a great offseason program and really knows how to get guys ready.

Spurrier lost control when he lost Fitz to Penn State.

Wonder why the Texans let him go? Never figured him for a pro guy in the first place.

Fitz is better at his craft than Pruitt is at his. y'all got a damn good coach, period.

in pictures - he's the opposite of this dumb posing crap y'all have done in the past.

Not sure but he wasn't fired. He probably just wanted to return to college football.

Hey Vol you'll enjoy the read in the link. It's an excerpt from a book by a former Harvard football player. The strength coach known as "Coach Mac" is your knew strength coach. He did great work while at SC, we hated to see him go. "I may have a small d*ck but I have big f*cking balls"

I'll find out tomorrow. I just talked to him when I was in Texas on my hunting trip and stuck in the airport with a weather delay. He gave no clue he was thinking about leaving. Loved Bob McNair, loved his job ... must have been something worthwhile to make Mary and him decide to leave there.

I gotta admit ... it worries me that he's at Tennessee. A lot of us credit him with our 2010-2013 success. Even the players felt the work-ethic drop-off when he departed.
