Honestly, with what he has started building and what he has invested into this program. I don't see him leaving anytime soon. His family loves Starkville.

Depends on who the job offer is from.

He could say that Starkville is one of the top college towns in the country and they'd believe it... oh wait... that happened.

Hey fricktard I think your confused about state, Mullen lost to a ranked Houston team his first season but we did not lose to a WAC team under Mullen. That was croon. Now about those pesky sun belt schools .....

I'm sorry, I was really impressed with the late game heroics to beat LaTech, UAB, Troy, etc.

Mullen isn't good enough to coach at Arkansas, thus he will not be granted the opportunity to interview.

Yeah, Im pretty sure state hasnt lost to a bad team since Mullen has taken over. Only loss that comes to mind that they werent the underdog was at Auburn last year and they lost by 1 yard. Dan is a solid coach. Hard to tell if he's "really good". That would be his reason for leaving Starkville. You know his ego thinks he's an elite coach and if state cant make people see that he will go somewhere that will

You hog fans talk an awful
Lot of trash considering your shitty team this year and not so stellar football history. Yes states is not any better bu just because your program got to the best it will
Ever be last year does not mean your a destination program. Mullen won't make a lateral move. So yea gfy

He wouldn't leave for another team in the SEC unless it was one of the big 3. (Bama, LSU, Florida)

You don't think that Dan Mullen would ever leave Starkville to go to Texas A&M, Georgia, Auburn, South Carolina, or Tennessee? I vehemently disagree. Personally, I think he'd leave for any of those locations. Maybe not Arkansas but I don't think the opportunity to leave State would be too much of a tough choice if it were any of those schools I listed plus the ones you think are the only 3 he'd leave for.

Arkansas is having a bad year, which is on par with an Average Ms. State year all the while with an interim head coach.

For us to settle for Mullen would be like LSU settling for DiNardo because he "won big at vandy".

No one is impressed with Dan's 1 SEC west win per year average.

How were we not the underdog? They were the defending national champs in game 2 of the season on a 15 game winning streak and some ridiculous arse steak at home.

I guess we'll have to wait and see after he wins the national championship this year.

They also speak higly of Jon Gruden, dont mean that they will get either one of them.

Yall beat the shite out of Memphis and they almost lost to like Southern Illionis of something. Yall were really hyped after your 9 win season and returning Heisman Relf

Why is it so hard for you to belive that someone would love a small college town atmosphere? Not everybody cares for traffic and crime that are in a lot of the larger SEC cities

Why are you using those two in the same sentence?

Honestly Chizik with a natty doesn't make that much more than Dan. Not to mention that if they fire him 2 years after a championship nobody with a name will touch that job to compete in state with Bama, with an awful attrition rate which has led to average talent, and continuous rumors of scandals.

yeah, it was after that Utah State debacle. We were a 3pt favorite on the road. Then Relf spotted Auburn 14pts.

Gene has also proven to be a better coach than Mullen 75% of the time.

No one wants to steal Gene away from Auburn either.

Starkville's "small college town atmosphere" is the worst of all "small college town atmospheres" in the Southeast.
