Coaches' Hot Seat/Coaches' salaries

A couple of interesting observations...
1. Changes in Hot Seat rankings since Week 1.
Mack Brown...down from 33 to 58.
Butch Jones...up to 50 from 79.
Gary Pinkel...down to 106 from 23.
Will Muschamp...up to 14 from 108.
2. Coaches salaries. Using Saban's 5.5M as a base...
Miles...78% at 4.3M
Meyer...78% at 4.3M
Richt...55% at 3.0M
Stoops...84% at 4.6M
If he wins the BCS, does Saban get a 8+M offer from Texas and/or topped by Bama, and then do these guys leverage for at least a 2+M raise to keep pace?

Richt has no business being on the hot seat with their injuries...same with Muschamp, but it won't stop the idiocy.

Muschamp is one of the most deserving of coaches facing the hot seat. Getting blown out by a Big East team? 11 - 2 don't mean squat if a team that has no business being on the field with you beats you like a drum.
Nearly losing to ULL? Furman putting up 223 yards of rushing on a 'vaunted' defense? Possibly missing a bowl? Unless the entire team died in a terrible crash, there's no excuse for missing bowl season. None.

Charlie Weis' seat is so hot at Kansas that I didn't even think he was still their coach until just now.

Exactly.
We heard a lot of the same thing last year, people were ready to buy Pinkel a one-way ticket out of town. (There was more to it than the record, but that was definitely part of it.)
Amazing what a winning season can do.

If it makes you feel better he jumped up the list like 20 spots to 70 something. Which while I don't think he should be high I wanna know how he went up 20. Stay the same, sure, he's definitely earned that but up 20? Really?

Honestly, I was looking for a pic from the UFla year. Didn't realize that as a HC he still spends game time keeping his sizable arse cool.
Does he have an endorsement deal with Coleman?

Top 10 ??
If you are making below 1,000,000 or are coaching a Big 5 school with a terrible history can you really be considered in the Top 10 of all the hot seats?
1 Charlie Weis @ Kansas / $2,500,000
2 Norm Chow @ Hawaii / $700,000
3 Ron English @ Eastern Michigan / $375,000
4 Kevin Wilson @ Indiana / $1,300,000
5 Ron Turner @ Florida International / $700,000
6 Todd Monken @ Southern Mississippi / $800,000
7 Mike London @ Virginia / $2,600,000
8 Paul Rhoads @ Iowa State / $1,700,000
9 Randy Edsall @ Maryland / $1,650,000
10 Kirk Ferentz @ Iowa / $3,900,000

I'm sure he just got tired from standing for 5 minutes. Or didn't wanna watch the shite show on the field.
Probably a mix of both.
