However, in “The Leadership Secrets of Nick Saban: How Alabama’s Coach Became the Greatest Ever,” a book written by AL.com’s John Talty

quote:

“You walk in, and everyone is crying,” former Alabama player Christion Jones is quoted as saying in the book. “Fifty percent crying and 50 percent tearing up. Coach Saban was in tears -- he could barely talk. His face was red. Everyone was emotional; it was a funeral moment.”

Certainly acted as a catalyst for a revitalized program. Hindsight, it was a great moment for Bama football.

He also cried when LSU hired Brian Kelly as the new king is in the SEC and has begun building a dynasty

It's probably the best thing that could have happened to the program, to be perfectly honest. If it weren't for Gus Malzahn and Kick Six, it's likely we don't see the run of dominance Alabama has had since the 2015 season.

Meh, that's bullshite. I have it on good authority that he was all "cried out" and "dead inside" after the Camback in 2010.

Were you on here at the time to post a bunch of homemade GIFs?

I bet that was hilarious.

I can never remember what time you usually quit for the year and disappear.

Understandable given the wild finish. Some people cried, I punted my cat off the deck

I've never understood crying after a loss. I've teared up or flat out bawled dozens of times after wins but that's more understandable IMO. Just overwhelmed with joy that your body doesn't know how else to express itself but with tears of happiness.

But tears after a loss? It just seems childish and strange.

This.

Clemson also made him cry a few years ago after they throttled the Tide by 30 points in the Title game

Many forget but I believe it was OBJ returned a kick6 early that season. I remember praying for a kick6. As alabama kicked it.
