Haha wth are you talking about? Wouldn't all coaches suck if you took out their best seasons? Saban would be terrible if you don't count 2009 and 2011. Let's take out this season as well. Man, Saban really sucks.

put miles at Bama and he'll go 19-81

LSU is the only place that he'll succeed

I am not a Les pumper.

And I say this is just ridiculous.

Isn't there a cesspool on TR you can jump in? You'll be warmly welcomed by a horde of comrades.

Pretty damn impressive, although if you take out last year and the NC run in 07 its not nearly as impressive (still good though)
If you don't count his wins, Miles is 0-19 as a coach at LSU. 0-19!! That's horrible.

Just not true. Maybe a place like Kentucky or Arkansas. Not Bama though.

Good coach. There is never any shame getting beat by LSU. He always have them prepared...He does make weird decisions at time, tho and he has had luck, but which coach doesn't ?

Well, we can argue over whether or not he would succeed elsewhere. I think the evidence shows that he would do so. And there is the fact that he won at Oklahoma State before they had any of T Boone Pickens' money, played in a high school stadium, and while Oklahoma was winning NCs.

I think one of the reasons he was hired is because he beat OU twice with far less talent. I'd imagine the AD said "Wonder what he could do with better recruits/facilities".

I agree with your thread, but that is all games. What is his actual SEC record? I know it is good.

I'm glad he is our coach. :fearthehat:

That is probably true. Another reason is we did not begin a coaching search until January.

Hard to be disappointed with 81-19 in the SEC during its most competitive time in history.

Ask just about any other school if they can have an 81-19 record and championships over the next coming 8 years and most would jump at it.

43-17 2005-2011 so 45-18...I believe this is right.

I'll add a little perspective to my previous post...

Oklahoma State had 1 winning season in the previous 12 years before Les became HC there.

That's the thing. His second 7 years could be as good or better than the first seven...we'll see.
