I think he'll have a pretty solid career as a mid-major HC. Kinda doubt if he'll ever get another shot at a P5 power though.

W
Second chance worked well for Orgeron.

And Mullen has to deal with a stronger East. My point still stands.

If your point is that Mullen won't have as good of results as McElwain, then that remains to be seen, and isn't that relevant to the point at hand.

If your point is that he won't have as good results as McElwain therefore he isn't as good a coach, then your logic is among the worst I've seen.

Example:
Gene Chizik won an NC at Auburn while Tommy T. never did. I'd still take Tommy T (in his prime) over Chizik(in his prime) by multiple light-years.

It is the lack of large fish that keeps him from being distracted. But for those fish tempting him he'd be a national champion by now.

Also, just a piece of advice for CMU, do not let him take recruits out to eat at a seafood restaurant.

I think Mullen stole that dude’s girlfriend at some point. He has a psychopathic hate for him.

Oregon State should hire him due to resemblance to their mascot with those chompers

There definitely seems to be an unhealthy obsession.

And his team is lead by former Tennessee QB Quintin Dormady.

He does pretty good with what he's given. With what he gets? Not so much.

He'd do well in the Pac12, Big10, etc. Probably would do good in the acc where there is very little competition.

His records at CSU were 4-8, 8-5, 10-2.

The more of his recruits that got on the field, the better his record.
