Just a great coaching job by the ol shark lover.

No “rebuilding” year needed for him

Maybe UM will give him a look, once they finally run Hairball out of town.

He was a great example of the job being too big for him. The whole 'death threat' fiasco was indicative of that, just like it was for Curry at Bama.

I think he'll have a pretty solid career as a mid-major HC. Kinda doubt if he'll ever get another shot at a P5 power though.

Wish he'd stayed on as OC at bama through the 2013 season. We'd have a 3peat. Happy for him though, hope he keeps improving and wins a whole bunch of games.

Nor should he. His roster management is hot garbage.

He's not a bad coach, sometimes it's the fit and he never seemed comfortable in the pressure cooker of the SEC

He did well at CSU and now Central Michigan
Keep it up and maybe he gets another Power 5 opportunity.

Or you could be a real Bama fan and just claim it as a natty anyway.

I wonder if he calls the plays ? It seem like he refused to fired the OC who was killing the offense. The guy is great at finding under rated recruits. The QB position has been the down fall to all of our head coaches . It looks like Mullen will be using Macs QBs till his 4th year at UF.

Colorado State might take him back after they fire Bobo.

He is a decent coach but he wasn't built for UF. He needs a smaller school. Similar to Champ. Both can get you to a bowl but neither is winning 10 a year at a big program either.

I love McElwain, but I think Mullen is much better for UF than Mac. Mac benefitted from an SEC East that was the weakest it has ever been.

And Mullen has to deal with a stronger East. My point still stands.
