Can’t decide if OP is bad as the UGA fan who asked if the Rant would support Georgia in the Playoffs to honor Leach.

Other than the fact Leach is well-regarded by just about everyone and Les Miles is a five-star dirtbag, I agree. They're very similar.

Ok, I will admit it now. I am the one that started the Leach for LSU OC rumors, I posted it here and dropped it on other social media, sports radio, among some colleges coach’s, sports agents etc and just hoped it would pick up stream and happen.

I knew from talking to him on the radio when he was in his “shed” in key west for the Texas Tech bullshite, while the litigation was grinding on that he was getting bored. I knew that Leach knew Les from the old days and they were friends or at least friendly with each other from then, and that Les Miles antiquated Offense was going to get him fired.

I talked to some college coaches from my relatives who said it would be great so I tried to make it happen by spreading rumors so that it might.

I talked to Coach Leach about it on the radio one day, at that time and made a 5 minute sales pitch on why he should be LSUs next OC. It was a good pitch including pointe about proving his system could work in SEC, all the great food and fishing, hr could look for the pirate lafitte’s treasure, etc. The co-host even admitted it was a great pitch, made perfect sense, and in true Leach fashion, he said “my name, that is certainly something to think about etc.

It seemed like he got the WSU job right after or something. It would have been epic

On a day when people are remembering and paying respect to Mike Leach, you had to be the guy to bring their teams former coach into the conversation. Damn.

Man you totally misread Leach. He wasn’t considered “goofy” and everyone realized he was smart as shite.

No, they were not “perceived as goofy.”

Leach was an innovator, someone who literally changed the game. The man had a law degree. He was extremely intelligent and was respected in ALL ranks of football across the land.

Miles was an caricature who inherited elite talent in his arsenal.

The two are nowhere close to the same and should never be compared to or lumped together.

Ever.

From 2001-2009 Texas Tech NEVER had a losing season in Big 12 play under Mike Leach.

The Red Raiders would suffer 12 straight LOSING Big 12 seasons after firing him (finally broke it this year).

I say this as a die hard LSU fan…Mike Leach and Les Miles do not even belong in the same sentence. C’mon man…Leach was one of the most brilliant minds in college football and an extremely likeable character. Miles won us a Natty but was a bumbling fool and had well worn out his welcome towards the end. Not to mention he turned out to be a creepy sexual predator. Look at the coaches Leach influenced…do you see anyone proud to say they are from the Les Miles coaching tree? No.

Is it possible to quantify how much Texas Tech fans hate Craig James?

Less won a Natty in spite of his coaching abilities and not because of anything he did on the field. Team chemistry and assistant coaching were better than Less' abilities as head coach.

The son, too, I imagine. He was as much to blame as his shitheel father.
