I enjoy the smacking around of the Arky fan base, because atleast here collectively (not all) they are some delusional, trolling bastages....but come on man, this is pretty lame. I know quite a few good people that had to declare bankruptcy with the current economic situation. Just sayin'

Why did you think that post warranted a serious response?

If you were being sarcastic, then cool. Sometimes it's hard to tell on here with as much trolling that goes on.

Give me one tangible way this will affect our football program. No conjecture or shite-opinion.

There obviously isn't any tangible way yet because the season hasn't happened yet. It might not affect your program, or he might coach like shite and this could be attributed as another distraction.
No need to be angry, I just thought it was an interesting development given his job situation

I think you just watched too much Wheel of Fortune as a kid and you think bankruptcy is something much worse than it is.

Well financial hardship has a way of fricking with minds.
I mean, bankruptcy isn't just another "bump in the road."
It's not unreasonable to say that this could affect his coaching.
In the end, it probably won't.
On the other hand, he doesn't know what he's going to be doing in 10 months or what kind of scratch he'll make doing it.
It's worth keeping an eye on, IMO.
And the intangible -- rather, inconsequential -- effect is that we get to make fun of you for having a proclivity to hire bankrupt coaches, in one form or another.

Not really. You sure seem upset I posted this though.

The most interesting part to me was: Did he want the Arkansas coaching job so badly because it was a great opportunity (which it it was) or did he want it so bad because he needed the quick and easy money? Nobody here really knows the answer, but it's an interesting question to say the least.

I believe the article said it was a multi-million deal that went bad...I doubt he thought his $850k salary was going to make much of a difference.

Who would have thought a pyramid scheme could have gone so wrong?

I know the answer, both.

So John L. Smith will be the first SEC coach to have his new car heavily investigated. Don't worry, it's registered to his Auntie.

Yup... He contacted Jeff Long and said he wanted the job.
