This should give the college football world a better estimate on when the hammer will come down on Auburn.

I agree. The only way this gets better is if it comes out that a bitter Phil Fulmer was a secret witness, and spilled the beans on hostessgate while secretly meeting with investigators at the Chattanooga Shoneys.

Serious question for the Bammers. DO you guys really think this is going to be Albert Means v2?

No, it won't be that nearly that bad. But I do want all of you Vols to suffer for a few years just to even the score a little.

Well if the past few years haven't been bad enough, you may have to settle for basketball penalties.

How severe were Bama's penalties, anyways? Like in comparison to USC.

25 lost scholly's over three years, two year postseason ban. But, recruiting dropped to in the '40's. It hurt not only the quantity, but the quality of players Alabama was signing.

The coaching situations had to have had a big part in that, too. (Although I guess the sanctions affected the coaches Bama could hire)

So for 25 over 3 years, does that mean they have to be using 25 less after 3 years, or do they have to drop a certain amount each year?

Is this really happening or is it some type of rumor? I don't think UT will get hit too hard.

We signed around 20 in 2001. Then we signed 15 in 2002, 18 in 2003, and 21 in 2004. Coaching changes made the sanctions even worse. Then academic cases got some guys.

I feel comfortable in saying the article, especially the title, makes things seem worse than they actually will be. Could be wrong, but 'smacked' makes it seem bad. I think UT basketball will get smacked, especially if Pearl stays. I think football should be okay.
