Milliner, Fluker, Lacy. Mosely was considered a sure thing to enter the draft, and McCarron a possibility but as of now those two are returning.

He was severely underwhelming this year

I think he exceeded expectations of even the most kool-aid drinking Alabama fans. I only remember him being on 1 pre-season AA list (Phil Steele) yet he was selected as an AA after the season by AFCA, AP, TSN, WCFF, CBS, Scout, and SI. He was also one of 5 finalists for the Butkus Award.

Additionally, he was selected by Bama's coaches as a Player of the Week 11 times which is something like twice as many times as any other player on the team this year. He was named Defensive MVP at the team banquet. He has 43 more tackles than the 2nd leading tackler on the team.

So exactly what were your expectations for him?

He needs to. He was severely underwhelming this year

Mosley....
99 tackles (61 solo/38 assisted)
2 interceptions; 1 TD
1 fumble recovery
4 sacks - 34 yards
tackles for loss - 7 for 46 yards
2 passes broken up
3 qb hurries
1 forced fumble

Teo, winner of all defensive trophies....
103 tackles (52 solo/51 assisted)
7 interceptions; 0 TD
1 fumble recovery
1.5 sacks - 13 yards
tackles for loss - 5.5 for 19 yards
4 passes broken up
4 qb hurries
0 fumbles forced.

Not that much difference. Teo had more tackles, Mosley had more solo tackles.

Teo had more interceptions; Mosley scored a TD with one of his interceptions.

Mosley had more sacks for more yardage than Teo.

Mosley had more tackles for loss than Teo.

Teo had 2 more passes broken up and 1 more qb hurry.

Mosley forced a fumble, Teo did not.

And Mosley blocked Murray's pass in the SEC Champ game to help Alabama win.

How many players of the week do the bama coaches name a game? In a 13 game season he was named player of the week 11 times and it is only twice as many as the next guy.

I did notice where mosley was ranked #9 in the SEC in total tackles and there wasn't another bama player in the top 50 tacklers.

Most everything I have read these last few weeks had bama fans saying mosley was returning.

There's usually about 3 from offense and 3 from defense every week. The coaches usually try to spread it out so that it's not the same players every week, but CJ was the standout on defense in just about every game so he was recognized 11 times.
