Chris Stewart isn’t one of the best in the business?

Yes Chris Stewart is one of the best in the business, no Chris Stewart is horrible.

Wait... what? I don't think I've ever seen a single Bama fan say that.

Chris Stewart is excellent. He is very good at calling football games. He is one of the best at calling basketball games.

a terrible take. I have heard no one speak bad of him. But I have heard plenty of my friends not like calls that Eli does. Either way I watch the games on TV so I dont listen to any of them. I do live stream Bama baseball and occasionally Chris does the calls and I like them

Stewart is great. He’s engaging, articulate, young and in command of the broadcast and game situation.
Eli is slipping. Growing old and losing a step is a fact of life. I grew up with John Forney but godalmighty people don’t live forever and age and health and new administrations and changing audience demographics mean somebody goes to pasture and enjoys retirement and new blood takes over.
I’d think much more of Eli if he acknowledged his diminished abilities and rode into the sunset with the love of 30 years of Bama fans. Bitter and angry is not a good look.

The only problem I have with Stewart is that he sounds like a high school announcer from Piedmont or somewhere.
I wish he had a better radio voice.
