A&M with Murray goes 7-5. DWI

Did you see your schedule?? Murray would have picked defenses apart with that offensive line. JFF is a great college player, however, the number 7 prospect in this league after one season? Pass... Let's see how he does now that teams have some tape. He panics and it's laughable. Murray would be calm, progress through the reads in the 30 minutes he would have had every play and threw for over 4,500 yards and 40 TD's. Football games are won and lost in the trenches. A&M had a great offensive line.

Know this... Alabama absolutely pummels Texas A&M this year. The rest of your schedule, outside of LSU, is an absolute disgrace. However, enjoy being 2nd or 3rd in the west.

You clearly know your college football. Of the "two best OT's in football" -- one of them is still there.

Let's also look at the consensus top 10 O-Line rankings going into 2012:

1. Alabama
2. LSU
3. USC
4. A&M
5. Oklahoma
6. Stanford
7. Notre Dame
8. Texas
9. Wisconsin
10. Michigan

Where in here -- other than your contention of JFF -- did a team with a superior O-Line "hide" a mediocre QB? Did Mett have his breakout season with LSU? What about the pre-season Heisman "lock" at USC? Can you even name the projected starters coming out of Spring ball at Texas, Wisconsin, and Stanford (and they're all returning starters)?

Your argument is laughable, but your jealousy is palpable. Face it -- our freshman QB outgained both your leading rusher and your starting QB. It takes a bit more than a good O-Line to do that.

Is AJ a good talent? Perhaps, but if he goes to the league and has an offensive line like say, Stafford does at Detroit, he will get annihilated. He's the next Christian Ponder...

Come on 20oz you're better than this dude

Ponder through his 4 yr FSU career - 6872 yds 49 TDs 30 INTs, he never had over 20 TDs in one season with arguably at times a better receiving corps and facing worse defenses

Through 3 yrs so far AJ has thrown for 5956 yds 49 TDs and 8 INTs and has 1 more yr to go

He's a shite TON better than Ponder but that's ok I'll let everyone keep believing he's a "system QB"

I'm talking about in the NFL. I see AJ being a solid back up for a few years until being released. I think he just benefits from being on the best team in college football and that many QB's can have success at Alabama. Just an outside perspective/opinion.

Okay, so in Texas 3706 yards and 26 TD's is more than 3893 yards and 36 TD's. Got ya... The only reason he out rushed Gurley (a whole 24 yards BTW) is because CMR pumps the brakes when we get up big. We don't smash teams by 60 like Sumlin likes to do. That's not UGA football.

If you're content with riding JFF's smoke and mirror rushing stats against extremely sub-par competition, that's cool, hombre.

Fact remains, A&M played 3 good defenses all year, losing to two of those teams and he was held under 92 yards rushing in all 3 games. Rushing for 181 and 229 against LA Tech and OU respectively is cute and all, but I'm not buying the number 7 prospect in the league. JMHO

Enjoy that flop schedule this year. It's your only shot at winning the West. Hope to see you in Atlanta.

QB is such a tough position to evaluate and you never know how well a qb is going to translate to the NFL. For all intents and purposes, AJ is a part of why Bama is the top college football team. I would say what seperated LSU and Bama in the 2011/2012 was the qb.

Mettenberger is garbage. AJ at least has some talent. The reason he is able to do what he does is because of that offensive line and the ground game. If AJ starts for the Detroit Lions or Philly Eagles with their shite O-Lines, he get's pummeled. I don't think the guy has even taken a hit yet in college, lol. But if he get's on the wrong team in the NFL, I smell trouble.

Murray is way too low. He should be at least Top 10 and by years end will be Top 3 on this SEC list

My point is that is the case for any qb. How many qbs go into the NFL with garbage oline and succeed? I really believe Joey Harrington could have made it in the NFL had he not gone to Detroit. By the time he went to Atlanta, he was a head case.

Matt Stafford threw for 5,000 the last two years with arguably the worst offensive line in the NFL. No way AJ would touch Stafford's numbers at Detroit. There are good QB's with big arms and size and then there are mediocre QB's with big arms and size. I'm saying Alabama hasn't had to ride AJ McCarron. The only game they did have to rely him last year, they lost. He threw two picks and couldn't close with the game on the line.

He will shatter the record books this year, but lacks the prototypical size to be considered a top draft prospect.

Yes, Stafford is an exception. Unfortunately for Harrington, he also had to deal with playing for Mariucci and his west coast offense, which was like forcing a square peg in a round hole.

It's no worries, bro. You're certainly not the only one upset with JFF.
