Maybe Chizik did call Stoops, but it is typical SEC arrogance if they think Stoops will leave FSU for Auburn. Stoops has a better job right now than he would have at Auburn or darn near anywhere else until a head coaching gig turns up. I'd ten times rather coach the athletes he can recruit at will out of Florida than be at the second-best program in a much smaller state that is one paid UF wash-out QB away from absolute irrelevence since Bo Jackson.

Seriously, is Stoops best friends with Chizik? That's the only thing that would give me pause about this. If not, LMAO at this one.

Auburn is not a good move for many coaches. They have to compete by taking bama's table scraps and putting them on the field. Sure they acquire some talent but it is a struggle and they have to work several states to do it. Stoops would not have the talent level at Auburn to form the type defense he will be able to produce and has produced at FSU.
