My finance degree is clearly tainted due to my typo of alabama, i sincerely apologize. Had i chosen a career in farming and gone to Auburn, it would have never happened.

I've
quote:

been thinking about these two, with all their recruiting battles and little subtle verbal jabs at each other. I mean, who is looking better right now? I know, I know, saban has 2 national titles. But he's been coaching a little longer and had better opportunities (LSU and Bama). His record at bama his first year was 7-6. Chizik's first year..8-5. Chizik showed this year he could recruit with saban and he took him to the wire in saban's third year at his respectable program. Jus sayin', I think I would consider chizik and his staff and I believe they are going to surprise bama at BDS this year.

Auburn = Bama's daddy. Better the last 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30 years. You have to be middle aged or old not to realize AU = Bama's daddy. Better last 30 years, after Bear, better before Bear. Without bear, bama just is not up to Auburn's standards.

To say Chiz > Saban, is a stretch since Chiz is much younger. We will have to wait and see there.

Oh yeah, BDS = JHW when you are talking about the IB. AU owns bama's house and appreciates the expansion efforts this year to our western stadium on even years.

No, AU 16 wins, bama 14. AU has two national championships too as far as I am concerned. 1983 and 2004. And same number of undefeated seasons.

2004 is just a share of at best, but AU deserves credit for it.

1983 - AU = national champs. Do not care what the AP says about that year.

Well, if that's how it goes I certainly expect to never see you two whining about Alabama's 13 NCs.

Auburn claims an undefeated and an 11-1 season that wasn't awarded.

Bama has had 14..... 11+ win seasons, not even counting the 9 undefeated/untied seasons we've had. Out of the 23 games that were equal to yall's 2, we don't claim but 13 NC's.

Auburn also had the number one SOS that year(1983) as well not Miami or Nebraska.

Chizik has not won ONE big game as HC.
He has had very little on the line yet.
he has had a free ride the first year.
Nice start.

Ok. As HC beat LSU and BAMA and Ark and win the SEC west, ONCE. Win the SECCG. ONCE.

Lets look.
Chizic is taller with a bigger-longer-thicker johnson
Chizic won more games his #1 y at AU than Saban.OK
Now if Chizic can win more games his second year than Saban, and a NC in his third year I think we will have a new Bosshog in SEC-W.
If not ---not so much.

That 11-1 record is not the whole story to the '83 season for AU as most here have already seen me rant about. AU's schedule was absolutly sick with 5 games against top 10 teams. Miami played 2 (UF - loss, Neb - 1 point win). Neb played 1 top 15 team (Miami, loss). Beat no one all year. All 3 go 11-1. AU SOS #1. Miami SOS #18. Neb SOS #40 something. AU - Mia 1 common opponent - UF. UF blows Miami out, AU beats UF.

AU = 1983 NC.

Also, AU has more undefeated seasons than bama (or they may be even after this past year, not sure). Of course a lot of those were in the beginning of the program and do not really count.

Undefeated/untied seasons (min 8 games)

Au - 4
Bama - 9

10+ win seasons

Au - 11
Bama - 29
